Triesch Voelker

Triesch Voelker uses porcelain to create functional wheel thrown forms. The surfaces are incised and glazed using oxides and stains with a subdued use of color. Voelker's early work featured large areas of traditionally used glaze color. Eventually he began to use the white porcelain as a canvas for homoerotic bold line underglaze illustrations that he enhances with very careful use of bright colors.
