Polina Miller

Polina Miller is a ceramic artist who grew up in Saint Petersburg, Russia, where she formed a deep appreciation of the importance of art in everyday life. While she was earning a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Saint Petersburg Technological University, her thoughts always returned to art. She discovered clay while getting over the culture shock of moving to the United States to join her husband. She learned to speak clay and to speak English at the same time. Over time, her artistic vision has evolved to create functional art that reflects forms inspired by nature. Her goal is to create pieces that catch your eye, but that also draw you in with a desire to touch, to imagine her works having a place in your everyday life. Working with clay is Polina’s joy and her adventure. Her work is an endless exploration of form, texture and color. She tries to make each piece truly unique, as every choice leads her a step further in her creative journey.
