Michael Takahata
Michael Takahata was born in Oklahoma City and attended the University of Oklahoma where he received a BFA in studio art and participated in a post baccalaureate program. The multifaceted artist works in both ceramics and wood, blending the two crafts. His woodworks are often hand-carved as he leans into more sculptural and conceptual pieces. He explores tactile surfaces through his small scale installations, ultimately creating unique pieces with precision and intricate details.
