Karen Hamilton

Karen Hamilton is a Ceramic Artist based in North Dallas, Texas. Beyond her home studio practice, Karen serves as an Adjunct Professor of Ceramics at Collin College in Plano and as an Instructor at Glaze Ceramic Studio in McKinney, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics (2006) and a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics (2010) from the University of North Texas, with additional expertise in photography and graphic design. After completing her master's degree, Karen was appointed as the Ceramics Lab Technician and Adjunct Professor at UNT, a position she held for three years, working alongside her mentor, Elmer Taylor. In 2014, she relocated to Arkansas, where she established a ceramics studio and business, and began teaching at the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock. Returning to Texas several years later, Karen resumed teaching design at UNT and started developing a new studio in North Dallas. Karen's work has been exhibited nationally, and she actively sells her artwork online and at various events throughout the year.
