Jason Wang
Jason Wang is a visual artist from Kansas City and earned a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2020 in Kansas City, MO, and in 2021-2022 was a resident at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, MN. In 2025, Jason received his MFA from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He was the Ceramic Artist-In-Residence at the Lawrence Arts Center in Lawrence, KS from 2025-2026 and received a 2026 Ceramics Monthly Emerging Artist Award. His practice is deeply informed by the social aspect of pottery; through an exploration into dinnerware vessels and public participation, he strives to foster conversation and build community. This dedication to community engagement led him to co-found the very first 2025 Ohio University Atmospheric Conference.
