Gregory Tom
Gregory Tom is a ceramic artist based in Detroit at 1139 Clark Studios. His work uses the language of pottery but subverts the functional aspect of it by perforating the form, rendering them incapable of holding anything other than air and light.
He studied ceramics at Cranbrook Academy of Art (MFA 2005) and is the former Gallery director at Eastern Michigan University and Deputy Director at MOCAD.
