Contemporary, Functional Ceramic Art Collection
Anna Lambert studied 3D Design and ceramics at Bath Academy of Art and University of Central Lancashire, and has been working fulltime in her studio producing her distinctive earthenware since 1980. Anna currently works from her Crosshills studio that she shares with painter David Thomas. She has exhibited widely throughout the UK including solo exhibitions at the Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh and at Contemporary Ceramics, London, and in galleries in Europe and USA. Using a range of techniques including altered clay slabs, modelling, slip and underglaze painting and various simple printmaking methods, Anna Lambert has developed her hand built forms to reflect a connection with her locality and to the fragile and constantly changing environment, responding to places as diverse as wild bleak moorland and bird-filled hedgerows.
